How It Works

From First Call to First Session.

Most patients start their virtual IOP within 48 hours of first contact. We handle insurance verification, prior authorization, and clinical intake — the only thing you have to do is show up.

01

Call or submit your information
A real person answers — not a bot, not a voicemail. Brief clinical pre-screening. Insurance verified while you're on the phone.

02

Complete your intake assessment
A licensed clinician conducts a full ASAM assessment via secure video. Right track, right level of care for your specific situation.

03

Start treatment from home
Join your group via HIPAA-compliant video from anywhere in Pennsylvania. No commute. No waiting room. No one sees your car.

Clinical Approach

Grounded in evidence. Not in platitudes.

Every clinical decision follows ASAM criteria and current addiction medicine standards. We don't offer wellness — we offer treatment.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
The most evidence-supported modality in addiction treatment. Structured skills targeting the thought patterns that sustain substance use and make relapse more likely.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness for patients managing co-occurring mental health conditions alongside substance use disorder.

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
Buprenorphine and naltrexone integrated into treatment plans under direct physician oversight. MAT is standard of care for opioid use disorder — not a last resort.

Motivational Interviewing
Meeting patients exactly where they are. Building intrinsic motivation for sustained change rather than demanding compliance with a program's expectations.

"The patients who need help most are often the ones least served by generic treatment. A nurse hiding her opioid use for fear of losing her license. A cop who won't ask for help because the culture says you don't. A pilot whose career depends on silence. We built Exeter for them."
